The three steps

Two worked examples

Example 1: March 15, 1990
Month 3 reduces to 3. Day 15 reduces to 6 (1 + 5). Year 1990 reduces to 1 (1 + 9 + 9 + 0 = 19, then 1 + 9 = 10, then 1 + 0 = 1).
3 + 6 + 1 = 10, which reduces to 1. Life path number: 1.
Example 2: November 29, 1987 (a master-number date)
Month 11 is already a master number, so it stays 11. Day 29 reduces to 11 (2 + 9 = 11, a master number, so it stops there). Year 1987 reduces to 7 (1 + 9 + 8 + 7 = 25, then 2 + 5 = 7).
11 + 11 + 7 = 29, which reduces to 11 (2 + 9 = 11, a master number). Life path number: 11.
